On Sunday 29th September we had 28 athletes compete in the Primary Schools Cross Country event. Our 3rd and 4th Class boys and girls ran 800m and 5th and 6th ran 1000m in tough wet and windy conditions.
We had a huge number of finishers inside the top 20, the top 12 qualify to represent Longford in the Connaught Championships. This year we had an amazing 3 runners that qualified, this is a first in a very long time for our school. We are so proud of all our incredible runners and wish Michael Ryan (4th Class), Harry Kenny (5th Class) and Henar Munoz (6th Class) the very best of luck in their races which take place in Mohill, Co. Leitrim on Saturday 12th October.
