Moving Well, Being Well with 1st and 2nd Class
"Moving Well, Being Well is a partnership between DCU’s School of Health and Human Performance, the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics, schools, and the GAA.
At its core, the Moving Well-Being Well project wants to get Irish children moving. The research team of four from the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics and the School of Health and Human Performance want to help all relevant stakeholders equip children with the tools they need to be active, and therefore healthier, for life."
1st and 2nd Class were very fortunate to be selected to take part in this programme, being one of two schools chosen in Longford.
They have worked hard with Ms. McGoldrick, Ms. Rawle and Ms. Moore alongside Aaron, our GPO from Longford GAA to develop their skills over the past 8 weeks. Poor weather hindered a lot of their sessions but well done to their teachers for keeping it going and ensuring the success of the programme.
We are sure all the information gathered by DCU will be positive and that we could extend the success with Fundamental Movement skills to the rest of the classes in St. Matthew's in the future.
